Hi, exploring the possibilities of renovating an existing split-level house that currently has gables made of red brick and long sides with wood.

Would like to make the whole house entirely in stucco. IS IT POSSIBLE???!

How should one proceed if so? Should one contact a façade renovation firm?

Regards,
Magnus

Yes, it is possible.
Yes, contact a mason / façade company.

A neighbor tore down the facade brick (mexitegel) and plastered their house - so it can certainly be done. Just brace yourself - it costs quite a bit.

Why did the neighbor tear down the facade brick? It's perfectly possible to plaster it directly.

We have plastered some sections of our house that were built with red brick. No problems at all. The bricklayer meshed and plastered that section in no time. Other parts of the facade that were also brick are smooth plastered and then covered with mosaic. That worked perfectly as well.

The neighbor tore it down because there was 15 cm of additional insulation behind it. They had rather deep window jambs that made the house look like a fort.

Hello.
Here's a hint about how much will drain from the bank account.
An acquaintance has renovated their house. A 2-story around 200 m[sup]2[/sup]
Cost ~500,000:- :P .
