Hello
I live in Stockholm and have decided to demolish a load-bearing wall between the kitchen and living room. The opening should be about 2.5 meters high and 1.5 meters wide. After some research, I managed to figure out that you should first get hold of a structural engineer. It turned out to be easier said than done. But finally, I have succeeded. After that, I understand that a cutting company takes over. That wasn't easy to find either. I found one, but they only make the opening and have no clue about how to get or install the necessary beam. Is this reasonable? Shouldn't a cutting company be aware of that? How do I get the beam? Who installs it?
I'm feeling confused and would appreciate if someone could explain how to proceed. And if you have tips on companies, that would be great too.

Is it a house or a cooperative apartment?
If it's a cooperative apartment, you need permission from the association. If it's a house, it is your own responsibility.
In any case, you contact a construction company to handle this for you if you feel you do not have the necessary knowledge yourself.

I am on the board of my condo association myself, so permission is sorted. I also submitted the application to the City Planning Office.H Holmspel said:
But when it comes to finding a construction company, I hit a roadblock. Very few seem to work with private individuals, at least it's hard to find them.
