I have some kind of fabric glue on the walls in the basement that I can't get off!! I've tried with a "giraffe" sander and concrete grinder, and I just slide around. Does anyone have tips to get rid of the stuff??
The walls are probably plastered with some kind of cement mortar.

A real scraper usually works. One can often loosen the adhesive with some kind of solvent.
I've personally been forced to resort to a chisel at times. The adhesive had seeped deep into the plaster! So I had to replaster parts of the surface.
