Hello!

I'm working on the final touches of the conservatory construction and need help with two questions.

I'm building my conservatory at an angle to the house and want/need to seal between the polycarbonate sheets of the conservatory and the underside of the sheets that comprise my eaves. Previously, the eaves were covered with panels only, so ventilation was sufficient before.

If I sheet metal as shown in the attached picture, it would mean removing the eaves ventilation for about 6-7 meters of the entire house—do I even need to worry about this and just focus on sealing, letting the metalworker have free rein to get it tight and neat?

I’m planning to insulate the eaves in the conservatory, which consist of part of an overhang of about 1.6-1.7m. I’d like to consult someone knowledgeable here on the forum if it’s enough to sheet the eaves and then, for example, place Rockwool slabs to achieve a reasonably sensible insulation value for the conservatory?
