Hello,

We are in the process of laying the top stone on our low Mexitegel wall, and unfortunately a couple of the tiles have been less successful, so they need to be relaid.

The wall is built with 3 levels of Mexitegel, the first row is laid with a thick layer of outdoor adhesive (byggmax) to handle irregularities, the remaining layers are laid with stone glue (PU700).

The top stone (90x15x3 cm) is granite and is laid with outdoor adhesive (a notched trowel has been used so not as much adhesive as the first layer of the wall). The overhang is about 2 cm on each side.

The question is how to remove the top stone without damaging the Mexitegel wall? We know that we had to adjust a bit in the foundation and that outdoor adhesive was really firm! We had to use a large sledgehammer and then replace the stone. Now there's much less adhesive, but the risk is still that it's stuck like stone.

I can state that, of course, it couldn't be removed with a club, but the hammer drill set to hammer mode worked far beyond expectations, basically as usual ;).

Got the lock pieces in quickly and easily, and I was able to reuse 2 of them.
