In the process of tearing out a raised floor in the den from 1975.
Everything is mold-infested and smells terrible.

Two of the beams are cast far underneath a built-up fireplace, but on top of the bottom plate. They are perpendicular to each other and are probably nailed together.

Not very eager to tear down the fireplace.

Anyone have tips on how to get the beams out???
(Pull them out with a winch, burn them...)

I have also torn out fixed studs from my basement.. However, I didn't have any that went under the fireplace. Can you take a picture and upload it so we can see what it looks like? Easier to give tips then.
