Hey!
My partner and I bought a 1950s villa last year. Renovation is in full swing and we're getting close to our entryway. Currently, it looks like this:
Completely uninsulated, about 150mm thick walls including the outer paneling (which is rotten). Plexiglass for windows. Built on an uninsulated slab.
The idea is to completely rebuild it so that it can function as a hall. The problem is the slab, which is about 60mm lower than the floor inside the house. The hope has been to lay tiles that go from the entryway through the current front door. But it would be nice to have some insulation. Is there a solution that doesn't involve tearing up the entire slab and redoing it? It might be possible to raise the floor indoors a bit but not much since there is a small landing between the basement staircase and a staircase up to the entrance level.
I stumbled across this website:

Does anyone have experience with these? Could they perhaps work for me and are they good enough? Or is there another miracle solution?
Tried to keep it reasonably short, but it's hard not to make it messy. I'm happy to provide more info if needed.
