Fired up the tiled stove for the first time this season the other day... Shouldn't have done that.

It seems like there's a blockage in the chimney, so all the smoke was forced through a wood stove that's on the second floor. Fun, fun. Unfortunately, it took a couple of hours before I noticed it, so now it just reeks of smoke upstairs.

After a few days of airing out, it's clearly not getting any better, and I'm now considering renting a Biozone Powerzone to clean the entire upstairs.

Anyone have any experience with it? Cramo rents it out for a few hundred per day.

...and then I probably have to get up on the roof and check what the heck happened with the chimney... :(

Call a chimney sweep is my advice. Then, if you need to repaint something, there is special paint for smoke damage. (it usually also takes nicotine stains and moisture damage)
