Hello!
I need to make a step in the basement and at the same time embed some cable conduits.
The step should stand on the new floor, EPS and self-leveling compound, and connect to an old slab.
I had some reinforcement mesh left from the self-leveling process and made the outer contour for the step. Then I thought of setting up a form with plywood.
Is that sufficient, or should there be more reinforcement inside the step?
Should I use coarse or fine concrete?
Can I fill it with gravel or something similar inside the step?
I was thinking of applying primer on the self-leveling compound and the old slab to make it adhere.
Does that sound correct?
As you can probably tell from my questions, I haven't done this before...
