Rebuild roof truss in barn

We have a barn where I want to remove a post on two trusses: The truss looks like the one above and it's the green post I want to remove. Would this theoretically work? Is the orange brace needed? Does anyone have any other solution?

Sure, it does, but it's not because of the car lift that I want to remove the posts...
