The construction is underway, and one long side now has modified roof trusses. I had an engineer who drew the plans, and after obtaining approved building permits, I'm building it myself.

I can't share the details of the plans, but I'm posting a picture that shows the principle. None of the measurements are accurate in this picture, and no one should build from it. Contact someone willing to calculate/draw with your specific measurements.

With that said, it works, but it's quite a bit of work. But it turns out well if you ask me

Hi, thanks for the response! I was a bit late to reply here, blaming it on being in the northernmost Fårö with poor reception.. Glad it works and that you're satisfied. It would be fun to see some before and after pictures later, so it might be easier to make a decision. I've searched the entire internet for someone who has done this =)

Hi! I'm going to check out a 70's house with a really low-cut top hat (hip roof with large eaves). It would be super fun to see how it turned out in the end!
