If you have bricks on the rest of the house and the other joint is very light, you can rafsa (build almost to full and before you're done for the day, cut out about 1-1.5cm with a joint trowel and brush it off thoroughly) the joint.
Just fill it up with something more suitable in color afterwards.

Plan the design well so that water cannot run into the brickwork - otherwise it will not last long, frost will take it.
I.e., copy a traditional, proven chimney model. Consider the sheet metal work.
