Reasonable price for installing a door?
Hello,
Since I have no knowledge of door installation, a craftsman will come to do it for us. The door (glass door from Diplamt) will be placed here:

The door we ordered is the smallest possible standard size which is 20x8 in this case. The craftsman will need to chisel out a little above the door frame to make it fit, guessing 1-2 cm.
I have asked the craftsman about a price a couple of times, but he does not want to give an approximate price, so I suspect there are some uncertainties in how difficult/easy the job is.
What could be a reasonable price for installing a door here without moldings?

Feels like it shouldn't take more than half a day if nothing unforeseen happens. So about 500:-/h (minus possible ROT) x 4 + Service vehicle. But if new moldings around the door need to be fitted, it could of course take a bit more time. If I were to set an absolute maximum ceiling, I would set it at 8 hours.
It's concrete walls, right? If larger pieces start to come off when he removes the frame that's there, it will be more work and it can be difficult to estimate the time for that part.
You don't know anything about construction yourself or have friends who do? That way, you can remove everything yourself and let the carpenter install the new one. That way, he/she knows what they have to start with.
