??? I probably wouldn't glue an iron with anything, assuming the glue melts a little during use... drip drop.

It was urgent, but here comes another answer:
Epoxy (i.e., 2-component adhesive) fixes plastic for the most part. However, not soft plastics.

Hello Yonna

You probably don't have polyethylene plastic in your iron.

Polyethylene can't withstand high temperatures +100 degrees.

You can certainly glue your iron with the glue you bought.

If the glue doesn't stick, you have a plastic consisting of either polyethylene or polypropylene, these are difficult to glue.

If you have a guy with a soldering iron, you can try melting the plastic together if it works if it is ETHENE or PROPENE plastic.

Try gluing first

Hope it works and yes I am a plastic technician

Do not use so-called "SUPER GLUE" (cyanoacrylate adhesive) as it only withstands temperatures up to 125 degrees before it evaporates.... (an iron is hotter than that, right?) ???

Ahem...this was urgent in January...you can drop it now ;D
