Hello,

When we installed our interior doors a few weeks ago, the plan was not for the parquet floor to go under the frame, but now we want to fix this. The parquet floor in this case is 15 mm thick, which means the frames will need to be raised at least 15 mm.

Today the frames are mounted with frame screws, which we want to continue using, but the question is whether there will be problems with the existing holes? Should we fill them with something first? They are in wooden studs.

Raising it about 15 mm likely allows for using the same holes in the frame, but there will be a new attachment in the studs. It is a French thread on the frame screw, it is about 8 mm and will then end up above the old one. I think it will be fine. What can be important is that when the screw is placed in the frame and is to be screwed into the stud, the loose part should align properly with the threads in the frame.
