Hello!
We are doing a complete renovation of our house and are under a bit of a time crunch when it comes to painting. As a result, we are focusing a lot on drying times. The thing that often takes the longest is definitely filler. We plan to use the filler for seams on wallpaper and any areas where the underlying wallpaper has come loose.
I found Sadolin medium filler where it says on their website that the drying time is 4 hours. Does that mean after 4 hours we can sand and then paint?

Has anyone used this filler or have tips on other fast-drying fillers?

The drying time is based on temperature, humidity & thickness.
The thinner, the faster.
Putty should not dry too quickly as it cracks more easily.
Their drying time can be based on "per millimeter," meaning if it is five millimeters thick, it takes 20 hours if it's 23° warm with a humidity of 50%.
If the temperature is lower and/or the humidity higher, it takes longer.

Plaster filler (e.g., Sheetrock EasySand - Ardex 828) dries quickly, but if it's just for seams on wallpaper, I recommend a 2kw heater and applying thin layers several times instead of thick layers to try and finish in fewer treatments. In short, fill coarse areas with a plaster compound, it can also be covered before it is completely dry, then apply a regular medium filler, then apply heat, possibly also a dehumidifier.
