Questions about plastering & the like

was thinking of replastering the laundry room in the basement and the walls are made of brick. I have bad experience with plastering but would like to keep the texture of the brick and will therefore apply plaster in a porridge-like consistency with a broom. I assume this is slamming? Question 1: Should I use C or B mortar for this? Question 2: Is there a way to color the wall that makes it easy to plaster over the finished result if you change your mind and want a smooth wall again?

If you don't want cracks and separations, you should always have the hardest mortar on the innermost part of the wall. I don't know what the brick is mortared with, but I think you should aim to render with c-bruk and then paint with silicate paint. If you then want a smooth finish, you must use a mortar that is not stronger than c-bruk.
