Hello!
I live in an older house in the countryside that currently has wood panels glued to the plastered walls. It's a 70s design overall, and I'm now planning to remove these wood panels and fill in the plastered walls underneath.
Under the plaster itself is clay brick, and after last year's drainage, the house has become much drier than before. However, I don't think I'll be able to eliminate the moisture completely.
I've been informed by a neighbor that houses built with clay brick benefit from "breathing." That is, no wallpaper or wooden moldings should be placed directly against the walls. I am therefore thinking of filling the uneven plaster before painting. Will any filler work for this, or are there recommendations for a filler that "breathes" better? I then plan to paint over the filler with silicate paint.
Does anyone have any tips?
Kalle
