Hi,

I have a ceiling in the vacation house where plasterboard was previously installed. Large plasterboards 120x240cm. The joints are reinforced with fiberglass tape. Cracks in all the joints.

I have now torn down the plasterboard and am considering which ceiling to install.

I'm wondering if I even have the conditions to install a smooth plaster ceiling?

The rafters are spaced at cc80-110. On the rafters, there's 20-22mm raw paneling. The paneling has shifted quite a bit, meaning the joints are exposed on most of the boards. The house has a wooden frame and was built in 1974. It is a flat roof, and the sag during very heavy snow was once measured up to 18mm. The longest span of the rafters is 6m.

If it's moving, Huntonit is probably preferable to gypsum.
