Putting up a wall in an apartment with parquet flooring
I have an apartment with a large living room. I'm thinking of putting up a partition wall to create 2 spaces.
The living room floor has an oak parquet flooring that covers the entire area.
What is the practice when constructing a wall on existing parquet flooring?
Should I cut up the parquet and attach the stud directly to the concrete floor? If I screw through the parquet it can't move as it's supposed to, right?
Or should I skip fastening it to the floor and attach it to the wall and ceiling instead?

I was planning to wall-mount a TV. I can probably drill into the ceiling without risk.Demmpa said:
Just thinking so there's no trouble with the floor.
