Hello! I have a big heavy mirror that I bought at Jysk, now I just need to hang it up. I've got 8 small screws and two plates with four holes (see attached image). How should I go about hanging it in the best way?
Thanks for the quick reply Concrete it is! Am I not supposed to screw the short ones into the mirror, and then use some larger screws into the wall? The mirror looks like this:
Attach the brackets to the mirror, drill two holes in the wall, insert plugs and two screws. Hang up the mirror. Done.
Well, the mirror seems quite heavy. I would probably choose some type of hook instead, so that a couple of screw heads don't have to hold the mirror in place.
I have to say it seems to be a rarely dumb arrangement. To be able to adjust the mirror so it hangs horizontally and vertically, I would probably run a wire or wire between the hanging brackets and hang the whole thing on a strong hook in the middle.
By the way, how much does the damn thing weigh?
Place the brackets "at an angle" so they point towards the middle of the hanging wire.
