Pull fiber... via garage or via crawl space?

There are two options for fiber installation here:

• Enter the garage through the garage wall, then into the house via the wall between the garage and the house.
• Enter the crawl space (outdoor air ventilated) by drilling a hole in the crawl space (height unknown), then into the house through a hole in the floor.

Both installations will lead to the same place. Aesthetically, I might think it looks slightly better to go via the crawl space, but not significantly enough to matter. Are there any technical advantages or disadvantages with either option?

In my crawl space, there are rats, they love cables. otherwise, I don't think it matters...
