Hello,

I've heard a lot of good things about the Essve Duck foot, so I thought I'd use it for various things that need to be hung on the drywall. Among other things, I have a TV that needs to be mounted. It will be partially attached to a stud, but some screws will end up in drywall.

I started with a simpler task, a mirror that needed to be secured at the bottom. The mirror hangs at the top, but it's a door for the mirror, and when you open it, the bottom of the mirror hangs out a bit. The idea was simply to drive a screw through the frame and then into the drywall.

I watched the video:
and did exactly that.
The catch is that the duck foot never secures, and it can be pulled out by a centimeter without any problem.
Have I done something wrong?
Can it be fixed (I'm thinking of pushing the existing one further into the wall and using a new one)?
I want to know how this works properly before I hang up the TV.

An update:
I emailed Essve and described what I had done and wondered if I had made a mistake. They replied that I had done it right, but that they had some boxes with defective duck foots, so they took back the box and delivered a new one. Very smoothly handled, hats off to Essve.
I haven't had the chance to test the new box yet.
