Pressure treated wood?

Hello everyone!! ;D

A question regarding pressure-treated wood. I assume it's not very suitable to use it for a compost bin?? ??? Or if you're going to grow edibles near it? ???

Whether it is appropriate or not, I don't know. I built a box out of sparse decking wood a few years ago. And we use the compost for the kitchen garden.

It doesn't make sense to build it out of untreated wood. Then the box will decompose at about the same rate as the garden waste.

Hello!

What I've heard is that untreated timber (trockt) is apparently supposed to last 10-15 years, whereas treated is double that???
