Hello,

I am preparing for a laundry room in the mudroom and discovered when I removed the subfloor that the floor joists appear to be pressure-treated. The extension is from the 70s, so I knew that the soleplates often were, but I hadn't thought that the entire joist system was. Is there any reason to replace it if we don't have issues with odor and it is in good condition otherwise? Close-up of removed subfloor revealing pressure-treated wooden joists from a 1970s extension with insulation underneath.

Bjälken verkar vara målad med fungicide, inte NTR enligt min åsikt

It looks superficial, so that might suggest it's something that's been painted on, but I have no idea what such old impregneration looks like.

It is probably treated with cuprinol, not dangerous or smelly as long as it doesn't get wet.
