Power line from street to house, what to expect
Hello,
We live in a telephone house built in 1958, with a basement. Located in Uppsala. Now we are going to build a greenhouse and place footings about 80 cm deep. Unfortunately, the power line from the street to the house runs right where the greenhouse is to be placed. A stretch of 13 meters from the street to the house.
From the old drawings I have retrieved, it shows that the line runs here, but it is so imprecise that it is not possible to know anything other than +/- several meters.
Is there anyone knowledgeable here on the forum who knows what to expect:
- How deep does the power line usually run approximately?
- What does it look like, how thick, type, is there normally gravel around it.
Simply building code from that time....
Grateful for any answers.

Ledningskollen is a good start: https://www.ledningskollen.se/
There are other things than electrical cables in the ground.
When you see how it looks when they dig up the streets, it seems there might be electrical cables about half a meter down, but on private property, it can probably vary a lot.

If the cable is before your electricity meter, then use ledningskollen. Those who measured for us managed to find the cable very precisely whether it was 70 or 90cm down. (it was different with the telephone line which they managed to mark out 40cm wrong when it was at a 40cm depth)
You cannot expect anything if you don't bring someone in to mark out the line on site.
I was going to bury a hose for water and electricity through the driveway, knowing that the fiber was laid along the same path, so I hand-dug. I knew there were shortcuts taken during the fiber installation, but it was quite extreme in certain places, too close to the ground surface by several decimeters in some spots, and the tape that should lie a few decimeters above the fiber to warn so it doesn't get cut was at worst 2cm above the fiber.
I also found the electrical line to the house; the protection for it was about 40cm deep. The cable is probably buried a few decimeters deeper but likely not at 1m as an installer said they aimed for.

You at least got a tape, my fiber is 20-40cm down, without tape, and not where they said it should be...Mattias Andreasson said:

I was supposed to dig a trench for water and electricity through the driveway, knew that the fiber was laid along the same path, so I dug by hand.
