Hello!

I'm setting up a freestanding sunroom 6x4m with glass doors on three sides. A total of six posts (115x115). What is the "best" way to place (attach) the post?

Image1: Attach the post directly to the footing. Since I'm burying ready-made footings, it's very difficult to get the footings exactly where they need to be.

Image2: Attach the beam (45x195) to the footing (footings) and screw the post onto the beam.

I would choose option 1. It feels like the most stable choice, but wait for more responses.

Variant three: similar to no. 1 but the floor structure is attached to the foundation and then it's quite easy to screw the post directly on top..
Why, because the foundations rarely end up exactly centered in the corner, and with this method, you get the post in the corner and the foundation directly underneath as load-bearing..

Why, well, the plinths rarely end up exactly centered in the corner and with this method you get the post in the corner and the plinth directly underneath as load-bearing..
Variant three would have been good. However, there were many stones in the ground and in some places, it wasn't possible to dig the plinth directly under the post. It had to be as close to the corner as possible. To be safe, I also placed a concrete slab on the ground under the post with sill paper in between :-)

Wooden decking construction with a white post mounted on a concrete slab with spacers, surrounded by a wooden frame.
