Hello I have a single-pipe system with ugly and thick plastic skirting that covers the pipes along the floor/walls. I can't find anything that matches regular skirting boards and am considering taking wider wooden moldings and routing a slot for the pipes on the backside. The goal is for it to look normal and hopefully be able to place a bookshelf against the walls with these pipes.
Now to the question, what happens to the heat if I enclose the pipes tightly? Does it need to be ventilated out? It would be nice to avoid holes in the skirting that get clogged with dust anyway.
Does anyone know of a ready-made solution that can be purchased? I think the pipes stick out about 5-10mm from the wall.

Here are some pictures.
The plastic base is ~3cm and the red inner part is ~2.5cm. The tube that protrudes the most is 16mm from the wall, in some places it's flush under plasterboards.
Also sending with pictures from the basement, where there's some kind of ventilated strip in normal size, suspecting that the pipes are hidden inside panel/floor.
All the pipes run along the outer walls of the house.
