Continuing on the thread a bit...
I've seen that larger building supply stores have a so-called age-resistant polyethylene film that can be placed directly on the concrete slab. Has anyone done this? Can you lay such plastic even if the concrete is a bit "bumpy" (uneven), i.e., not completely smooth and nice surface, you surely understand what I mean.... I noticed that costs ran up a bit when I looked into Platon mats, ventilated moldings, etc... So I'm wondering if this is a good alternative?

My experience is that the floor must be absolutely level before the Platon mat is laid out. According to the instructions, it should be possible to lay 7mm laminate on top of the mat without it "creaking." I laid out 9mm laminate on a floor that I perceived as completely level, but it creaks quite a bit. If I were to do it over, I would probably have laid 14mm parquet instead and possibly used leveling compound first.
Did you use platon blå or platon multi? The difference between them is that blå is for floors with a thickness of more than 12mm. Multi is for floor thickness less than 12mm. Then I wonder if you have platon ventitex under the platon mat; it is supposed to prevent clapper noise according to isola.
I would appreciate it if you could answer, as I am planning to install a platon mat myself and would like to avoid the floor creaking.
