I have completely renovated an extension of the cottage. (The cottage is built at an angle with two gabled roofs, like an "L"...)
Everything has been stripped down to the studs. The area is about 3.5X4 and the plan is to divide it and make a small toilet. Now to the question... The carpenter said I should put plastic sheeting and my question is what I need to consider.
1. Should I frame up for the toilet first and then plastic-wrap the room and the toilet separately? Should I then skip plastic-wrapping the interior wall to the toilet...???
2. Should you also plastic-wrap the floor so the room becomes like a plastic bag where the only opening is the interior door, window, and vent?
3. In the toilet, you put a moisture barrier on the floor and a bit up the wall, and surely you shouldn't have plastic sheeting inside a drywall that has a moisture barrier??
4. Should you have plastic sheeting on the interior wall that borders the rest of the cottage?
It should be added that the rest of the cottage is not plastic-wrapped, (stands on plinth and is maintenance-heated during the winter)
