Very basic of course, but you have to learn sometime. I have a purchased gypsum board and now I'm wondering which side should face the room? Is it the lighter side or the side with an extra paper layer that doesn't quite go all the way to the edge? I guess that should be outward so there is room for spackle. But I'm not entirely sure, so I want to check here. What makes me uncertain is that it actually looks like a backside after all...

The front is the side that has "indentations" on the sides, where you are supposed to fill with filler and paper tape. There are also markings in the middle of the front for where to screw.

PS. The bright side facing outwards.

If you don't know the front and back of a sheet, I recommend you read on www.gyproc.se about how the sheets should be mounted, which screws to use, how closely the screws should be placed, and how to fill with tape.

Here you'll find exactly all the answers you're looking for, even in the other thread:
http://gyproc.se/gör+det+själv/så+här+gör+du/innerväggar

You can also find similar information at
http://www.knaufdanogips.se/
http://www.norgips.se/
And whatever other manufacturers there are.

You can find instructions for both professionals and those more aimed at hobbyists.
(I checked through a bit myself, and then I managed to build an entire house, cool right?)

You can also search on youtube with the keyword "gipsskiva" and you'll certainly find several instructional videos.
But here you should be a bit careful, not all of them are entirely accurate... Feel free to compare with the documentation from the plasterboard manufacturers.
