Currently building a small bathroom without a shower on the upper floor of our house. It's going to be a fairly small bathroom, and one wall will be against the chimney.
The bathroom will have tiles and floor tiles.
Currently, we don't use any heating by burning as we have geothermal heating, but in the future, we might want to burn for a cozy atmosphere.
Now to the question. Can I glue a double layer of drywall directly against the chimney? In that case, should I use a strong construction adhesive??

I used Byggmax's cheap construction adhesive, sticks like a rock.
