I have quite a bit of plaster coming off in a room in the basement and couldn't stop myself yesterday, which means that a large part of the wall is now plaster-free :wow: But there's even more that I could remove.
In some building program on TV, I think it was the one on TV3, I saw them building an inside wall in the basement with pretty thin, 4-5cm thick white blocks, and in this way got a nice and flat wall. What could these blocks be? I'm not that keen on plastering so this appealed to me greatly.

Some type of lightweight concrete block, for example, http://beijerbygg.se/templates/BB_Produkt.aspx?id=27750 But to make it good, these should also be plastered.
Yes, those might have been the blocks, thanks! I can put up some decent tiles and avoid the plaster. Although it's a bit more expensive, it's something to consider.
I've also thought about using a Platon mat, metal studs, insulation, vapor barrier, and drywall, but the more I've read about interior insulation of basements, the more I've decided against it. It will probably have to be exterior insulation sometime and install new drainage. It seems like there is a risk with such a construction, but maybe it's not a problem as long as you're careful?
