I am renovating our basement in a house from the 50s. Step one was to tear out framed walls that were directly attached to the concrete with wooden studs. In one of the rooms, the radiator was attached to the newly built interior wall. We unscrewed it from the wall and managed to demolish behind it. Now it's propped up on a few miscellaneous items and leaning against the wall.

My hope is to be able to paint/plaster behind it and then reinstall it before the rest of the renovation continues. Is it possible? What should I use in that case? In the end, we envision plastered walls throughout the basement, but as we work full time and have 2 kids, it will take a while before we get there. First, everything needs to be torn out, etc.

Adding a picture so you can see the wall. The house is built in lightweight concrete and it is an exterior wall. Not drained in a while but the wood that was there was quite nice, so it's probably reasonably dry.

Grateful for any tips! Partially stripped basement wall with exposed concrete, a detached radiator propped against it, and a small window above.
