Plaster on west coast board?

Hello,

We're planning to add insulation to the villa using västkustskiva. Currently, we have a basement insulated with isodrän and we want to take this opportunity to insulate the remaining foundation wall above ground which is about 70-80cm.

Can we use västkustskiva there as well and mesh and plaster it? Will it withstand impacts from hits and balls?

No, it will not hold. There are special putsskivor to buy depending on which type of plaster you need. Check with your hardware store, and they'll help you.

There are plasterboards in mineral wool, but they are usually part of a complete plaster system. If you want something that is traditionally proven and durable, you should choose thick plaster like weber serporoc or equivalent.

But is mineral wool and thick plaster a sustainable solution in the long run?

I don't want to put any ugly panels like minerit, steni terra, etc., on a villa from -45.

Thick plaster on mineral wool is actually a type of one-stage sealed plaster facade, but in 35 years, to my knowledge, no problems have emerged like those that have arisen after just 10 years concerning thin plaster on cellular plastic, so relatively speaking, it is a proven method.
