hello!
I'm renovating my basement where there are both concrete and drywall... I was thinking of plastering the entire basement and painting everything white.
my question is: can you apply plaster on drywall?

Spackel is preferable.

Spread spackel over the entire boards to get the same texture as the other walls.

ok.. may probably be best as you say.
thanks for the quick response :)

We made a plastered wall in one place, first we spread the entire walls with adhesive (8mm notched trowel), then when it dried, we applied plaster mesh and primed with B-bruk, then finished with C-bruk. Turned out great.

Hello!
You may have forgotten since it was so long ago :) but what kind of wall was it? Gypsum wall? 🤔
I would like to "render" our gypsum wall for a more rustic feel (which now feels plastic and has slightly grainy paint on it...)
Thought I'd ask you. Thank you!!
