In connection with the expansion, a fairly large "gap" has developed between the old basement wall and the inner ceiling. Was thinking of putting in some rebar and filling with plaster, maybe pushing in some leca pieces to fill a bit. What do you think about that? Should there perhaps be something with more cement in it?
Sounds like a perfect job for 7x19x59 cm blocks in LECA. Use regular Plaster & Mortar C 0-3mm and throw it in behind and under the blocks. Then stack them and let dry. Finish by plastering the front. A smooth transition to the old plaster is required, so use 0-1mm mortar and felt the last part. No reinforcement is needed.
Unfortunately, it's crooked and slanted like a house from the early 1900s usually is. But maybe I can wedge saw leca and patch it up as best as I can. But for the slightly larger cavities where I can't fit in leca, do I fill them with the same mortar?
