Hello, I am new here on the forum.
Hope I am posting in the right category.
Can I put drywall directly on concrete and then putty and paint?
And if so, what type of screws etc. should I use... I should add that I have never built anything in my entire life, but here on the forum, there seems to be an abundance of knowledge =)
The idea is to avoid having to putty/sand all the unevenness in the concrete wall.

Attached is a picture. I was thinking of creating a data corner between the wardrobes where there is a shelf between them... Will it be a problem to hang IKEA's Lack shelves on drywall/concrete later?

  • Concrete wall in a room corner with wooden frames on the sides. A chair and some household items are visible in the foreground.
You should be able to glue the plaster with a thick adhesive, like PL200, 400, 600.
You can then attach the shelves by drilling plugs into the concrete,,
Or you can maybe putty and paint directly on the concrete, the paint and putty retailer can probably advise better...
If you want it easy to mount shelves and such, you can otherwise screw a chipboard or OSB onto the concrete.
