I have a concrete ceiling in the basement of my split-level house. There are some kind of styrofoam tiles on the entire ceiling. I would like to drywall to get a nicer surface. Is there anything to consider, or can I place furring strips and drywall as usual?
I don't think there is any risk of moisture. It is a finished basement with underfloor heating.

Those boards were put up to prevent echo in the room. Just attach them sparsely with longer screws that grip into the concrete.
