Hello!
I'm in the planning stage of building an interior wall with two IKEA pax "built-in". I've done some CAD work and this is what I've come up with. I should also mention that I don't have previous experience in this kind of thing and this is my first major project in the house (I am a happy amateur). So I want to check with you what you think.
You don't need to check the measurements unless you see something completely crazy, of course. Rather, I'm wondering more about the building techniques, if I've drawn/thought correctly, and what you think about the whole thing.
One thing I'm specifically wondering about is on the right in my drawing where the stud is in the wall. Do you place a whole 900OSB against the wall and then take 45CC from that edge closest to the wall? The first stud coming from the right will be shifted by 2.25 cm and then the rest of the studs are 45CC from the placement of the second stud.
Another thing: the 3000 mm wardrobe, how would you do it on the right? I've drawn in 3 studs that I thought the wardrobe would stand against. There will be a 45 mm gap there; is that enough to open an IKEA PAX door and also pull out a drawer? I must be able to open the door more than 90 degrees if there will be drawers in the corner.
What do you think of a 5 mm protrusion of the wardrobes? How have you done with floor skirting on pax?
Best regards,
Vildmark
