I'm having a bit of trouble here. Pier foundation. The rail for the sliding door is 131 mm (has drainage holes and drip nose).
I want the floor outside to be level with the joists while the floor inside should be level with the highest point of the rail to avoid a trip edge.
Questions:
How should I solve the support for the post and rail that here hangs freely 75mm? Just add an additional joist? Lay a board 28x120 on the framework?
How should I arrange the support for the indoor floor so it doesn't hang freely?
In another thread here on BS, I read that if the outdoor floor is at the same level, water will get under the rail. How should I solve this? Leave a gap between the joist and the decking?
Thinking about the same thing. Have you lowered the track for both the outdoor decking and the indoor floor? That is, the track rests on the frame and the indoor and outdoor floor will be +27-27mm higher?
