Planning to create an opening in an interior wall between the kitchen and living room. The wall had a sealed door which we have opened up and noticed that we could see what the rest of the wall contains.
It's possible to drill a hole relatively easily in the wall with a 12-volt drill, when you pull out the drill a lot of black gravel comes out.
However, I have no knowledge about building materials so the question is WHAT is the material shown in the picture? Then HOW should one proceed to demolish such a wall?

Looks like it could be aerated concrete of the blue type, at least when you look at the bottom picture. Then again, colors are hard to judge from a picture like this. If it's aerated concrete, you should see small cavities in the concrete similar to "bubbles" around 1mm in size.
It doesn't need to be particularly powerful. But you should have a blade intended for aerated concrete. Then avoid electricity, water AND rebar, and it'll be done in no time, and the blade will survive. It will feel like running a hot knife through butterdirrekok said:
