The boiler room and the space outside it are separate fire zones. Fully understandable when there was an oil boiler and an oil tank there. But it has now been replaced by a geothermal heat pump.
I'm now planning to install FTX in the house, and will probably need to run ventilation to/through the outer room. Running ventilation between fire zones is both expensive and tricky, but there is no longer any real reason for these spaces to be separate fire zones.
Do you need to do anything special to, so to speak, "decommission" these fire zones?
