Hello, I have long wanted to know how it works with the import/export of building materials. I have a construction company and I wonder how to apply for a permit for the import/export of building materials? I also want to know who to contact for such questions.

I would not think that you need any special permit for the import/export of building materials. Sweden is part of the EU's free trade area and such requirements would very likely constitute a violation of one of the four freedoms within the EU (free movement of goods and services between countries). But if you want to check, the Customs Agency should be the correct authority.

yes but shouldn't you then register the company somewhere that you are involved in that as well, or is it just to get started?

This is actually OT for this forum but ok:
The registration depends on what type of company you are starting. The types of associations vary from Sole proprietorship to General partnership, Limited partnership, and AB. The first one only requires a simple notification to the Swedish Tax Agency, who can also provide you with an F-tax card and VAT registration. Other forms require preparations before you can register. If you're not clear on which form to run under, you can run into problems with the tax authorities and your finances. I suggest you take a course in Starting a Business first, so you don't do anything foolish.
