I'm building a deck that will have a pergola over it. The deck is approximately 75cm from the ground and is currently being built on pilings and I have that under control, but the pergola...

The thing is, I have 480cm between the posts on one side and now I'm wondering if I can set a 45x145 there without it sagging? The posts are 95x95 and the other three sides have posts spaced 2m apart, but the fourth side we want to keep open without a post in the middle, and that's my problem. Above these 45x145, I was thinking of placing 45x120.

Are you going to have a tight roof on top?

no just beams 45x120 cc 60...

It is largely a matter of taste, how much deflection in the middle you are willing to accept. The damp outdoor environment affects wood negatively, so you need to slightly oversize it. 45x145 will bend down a few mm over time but is perfectly OK in my opinion. Choose C 24 class, it makes a big difference.
