Hello! I'm planning to replace the panel on the backside. Since the stud extends under the roof, the panel has been overlapped right at the top. Would you do the same thing again? Or would you use furring strips on the entire wall to allow for full lengths? The problem there is that you'd have to trim around the windows, etc. Also, bonus question: there are boards under the plastic that are treated, is that good? They look like new.

Why do you want to change triple-glazed windows and a panel that looks new?
The windproof boards you have behind the panel are bitumen-treated wood fiberboards. Common in houses in Finland and Norway. A much better material than the flimsy wind cloth that is apparently standard in Sweden.

Nice to hear about the boards. There are three other double-glazed windows on the same wall, and as I mentioned earlier, the panel is dry-cracked and badly damaged at the bottom.F Finndjävel said:
Switching to the same panel and 3 glass Elitfönster. But now I am confused because this wasn't what I was asking about, but rather how you would have done with the upper panel?!
