Hi
It's about the hallway and living room which are currently wallpapered. The previous owner painted directly on the wallpaper. It looks good but it's starting to peel at the seams.
I plan to remove all the old wallpaper. Apply filler and fill the seams. Glue microlit fabric (pre-painted) and paint afterwards with water-based paint.
What do you think about that? Has anyone done something similar?

What is water-based paint? I once painted madonite with a water-soluble lacquer paint, it didn't go very well. It beaded up, but after a few layers, it sufficed for the application. Later, I painted a masonite with children's hobby paint, also water-soluble. It was a wall repair that I wanted to make a bit more discreet temporarily and it worked well. However, none of these paints are water-based.
