If you have a summer cottage out in the "wilderness," sooner or later it's time once again to have a hammer in hand instead of relaxing in the hammock ;D. The road to the nearest hardware store is long, and it’s important to plan ahead if you want to avoid a 30 km trip to buy a box of nails.
We are blessed with a large barn, and I have long considered stocking up on lumber. I was thinking of buying a few hundred linear meters of the most common dimensions. However, the local hardware store won't be getting my money. Instead, I thought about buying odd lots of lumber from small sawmills or farms for a cheap price. Sometimes, someone throws out leftover lumber on blocket.se.
I haven’t found a website like "timber exchange," though.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to have something like this on byggahus?
