A little perforated strap braces the frame just as well as the gypsum, and the windbreaks breathe in one direction and serve as a pool in another.

I had forgotten a piece of paroc fabric outside and it was a pool on one side and bone dry on the other.

Yep, our previous house for example. Had asfaboard as its facade since 1975. It's not pretty, but it works! :D
 
I am building a carport with a storage room and was thinking of putting OSB boards on the long side inside the carport and then exterior gypsum board on top of that, but maybe that's a bit silly? Can you plaster the OSB boards?
