OSB and plasterboard by door
Just interesting to know if anyone has tried.
In some way, the boards need to be pressed against the underlying wall/studs, and then screwing is the only way.
I have personally tried gluing wooden pieces with strong glue and it holds, better than anything else.

Work as a carpenter and we glue almost all drywall at work, more ergonomic and if it's large areas significantly faster. There are adhesives made for drywall installation, knaufdano, danalim, etc., have them! The adhesive penetrates the board, claim the sellers when we've talked to them.. I have torn down walls that were glued and can promise that it sticks like hell!OveRa said:

You have to press the drywall sheets against the substrate so the adhesive makes contact everywhere; if it springs out a bit, the adhesive follows. Then, it's usually solid enough that the sheet sticks. Occasionally, you might need to insert a screw during curing, but they should be removed, at least when it comes to Ardex S48.
There were test pieces with drywall glued to chipboard flooring, with 1000:- for anyone who could detach the drywall from the chipboard. The adhesive penetrates the paper and somehow reacts with the gypsum, resulting in incredible strength.
